Cyanotypes
Summit School | Montpelier, VT | 2018
A workshop through the Vermont College of Fine Arts, working with high school students on the autism spectrum. The workshop focused on Cherokee language, as well as the importance of animal symbolism in Cherokee culture. Students cut out shapes of animals which were then placed on cyanotype paper and exposed to the sun. The images were later scanned and printed out to create large-scale displays.

An after-school photography program for immigrant and refugee youth. Students photo-documented the process of traveling from their “old home” to their “new home.” A literacy component was included in the curriculum, which aided in the development of the students’ English language skills.
